Welcome
A Victorian corner pub, listed for its interior
The Blythe Hill Tavern has stood on the corner of Stanstead Road since about 1866, and was listed Grade II in 2022 for an interior of national importance.
Three rooms open off one long bar, panelled in the 1920s and little changed since — leaded glass, a beamed ceiling, a real fire, and Victorian temperance notices framed on the wall of a pub that has quietly ignored them for a century and a half.
Out the back there is a garden with barrel tables under the ivy. It is a local first and foremost, and it has been voted one of London's best pubs more than once.
